identify buttons.
Members are welcome to submit images of buttons for identification.
The request will be forwarded to our panel of experts, and
any viewer is invited to respond. Responses will be added
to this page as appropriate. Please submit images for identification,
and comments on any of the existing images, to BBS member
Jenny. Please

The Society welcomes enquiries from non members and will
endeavour to identify your buttons. We do, however, ask for
a donation of £5 towards our costs. Please make your

From Denis Darmanin:
Unknown
button 52 is a late 19th century, early 20th belonging
to the French Assurance company. I have located two different
companies, both having the griffin as their logo but in
a more modern style. Attached is another version, possibly
a later mid-20th century button of the same company. Assurances
Du Griffon, 55 Rue Des Francs Bourgeois, 75004 Paris and
ASSURANCES DU GRIFFON, 46 Rue Lauriston 75016 Paris. In
other sources, it is found listed as : Les Assurances
du Griffon (ADG) & Lloyd Continental). |

Comments from users of the page
Wow !! I'm impressed. The button belongs to a guy at work who
found it and asked me to investigate it. Odd things often come
my way to be identified, will be keeping your web page handy
as I'm likely to need it again
Many thanks for your help, Mary-Jane
I would like to say what a useful web site you have. Dave
