Hollow silver lady
Hollow silver lady
Deeply raised image of lady's head - separate silver back. Chester 1906. There is also a side view which shows the depth (12mm) of the profile. 29mm

Irish silver
Wolf? - 25mm height - hollow, with gas vent hole at back. hm on back.
Also a scan of the back to show the hm and the blow hole.

Stamped silver with foreign import marks London 1896. 41mm

S ilver with basse-taille enamel, another Charles Horner, Chester 1913. enamel set in silver frame with a separate silver back - hm on the back. 32mm

S ilver with stone, another Charles Horner, Chester 1900 - set with a stone - hm on the loop. 24mm

Stamped Charles Horner, Chester 1906 (typical Horner design and hm on the button's loop). 34mm

Art Nouveau lady
Stamped brass face, affixed to cast brass back - hollow. 45mm

Dutch silver
Octagonal 'peasant' button - hand incised design of a lion with arrows - which is a departure from the normal 'horse and rider' which is more commonly found. hm on the back - attributed to Jurjen Harmanus Yskamp of Harlingen, Holland about 1835. 23mm

Brass and mother of pearl
Mother of pearl disc with overlaid pierced brass design. Set in a brass frame with a black japanned back. 31mm

Bimini lady
White glass with gilt applied to border and to back. Large brass plate to back with 'made in England' and the little tree in a pot logo. 52mm

Litho under glass and steel
Stamped and pierced brass frame, set with facetted cut steels in the border, the centre set with a lithograph of an 18C lady under a glass disc. A.P. and Co., Paris. (Albert Parent) 3rd quarter of 19th Century. 27mm

Watch glass
Sepia paper cut-out set under a very thin glass (similar to the front of a watch - hence the US name of 'watch crystal' button - I believe more typically called watch-glass in the UK. Sealed onto a metal back - whole button is only 3mm thick - very fragile - unusual to find them in this large size. I think this may depict Red Riding Hood and The Wolf. 36mm

Painted enamel 1
Cast gilt brass - champleve enamel border - scroll-decorated inner border with paillons of turquoise enamel - central panel with painted 18C lady. 31mm

Enamel figural
Cast gilt brass with scroll decorated border and a central panel of painted enamels with gold flecks - figure goes under the title of 'The Little Nut Boy' A. P. and Co., Paris , later 19th century. 31mm
 

Gladiators
A one-piece, stamped and pierced brass of a gladiator duel. 40mm

Enamel and steels
Stamped and pierced brass, set with facetted steels - the three outer steels also act to fix the centre piece to the separate brass border which is decorated with painted enamels. I've included a rear view to show the construction method. 36mm
 
Pierced enamel
Cast and pierced brass with champleve enamels and painted enamel flowers. 40mm
