Lucite button with Birds c. 1930

Lucite and Perspex are trade names of the acrylic plastic Polymethyl Methacralate which was developed in the 1930's.
The central disc of the button is carved out on the back and a silvery material inserted to look like sulphide.
The disc is held in place by a screw.
The reddish mark at the bottom of the button is the wire used to hold the button onto a display card.
